Our Pool

The New Holland Rec Center offers a unique state of the art aquatic facility. The 116,000 gallon pool stays at a constant 83 degrees year around, which goes great with the comfortable 85 degree air temperature. It's divided into two free flowing parts, a Leisure pool and Lap pool. The Leisure pool offers a zero depth entry point and gradually decreases to a depth of 3ft. 6in. It is equipped with a water slide that pumps 800 gallons per minute, a water mushroom which has 100-300 gallons of water run through it every minute, bubble jets, and under water benches that are a great way to watch the kids while chatting with friends.

The 4 lane twenty five yard lap pool is designed for multiple purposes with a maximum depth of 5 ft. Swimming 36 laps (or 72 lengths) is the equivalent of swimming one mile. Not only is it available for the swim enthusiasts but was also built with the capabilities to have a water volleyball court and inner tube water polo games on event nights.

Aqua Fit 'N' Fun

Join this splashing, laughing, and fun water aerobics class combined with movements that improve strength, balance, coordination and flexibility. This class will target a low to moderate cardiovascular workout. Tracy Carlson (45 minutes)

Deep Water Splash

This impact-free workout is excellent for men and women of all ages who want a challenging cardiovascular workout that includes muscular strength training and toning. Participants must be comfortable in deep water. Flotation devices will be worn in class. Tracy Carlson (45 minutes)

Aqua Abs

Crunch it, firm it, tone it. All Abs water work out. You will have your feet on and off the bottom of the pool with this 30 min. workout. Tracy Carlson (30 minutes)

60+ Water Exercise

This shallow water low-moderate intensity aerobic class is the perfect fit for the novice and intermediate exerciser 60 years and older. Using various water "toys" this class blends low impact strength and aerobic fitness to help improve heart health and maintain muscular strength while taking the stress of your joints. This class is taught in partnership with the Lancaster Office of the Ageing. Tracy Carlson (60 minutes)

Arthritis Aquatic Exercise

If you suffer from arthritis or just finishing up a physical therapy program then this is a class for you. This class will help relieve arthritis pain and stiffness, improve your joints range of motion and increase your flexibility and mobility. This class was developed and designed by the Arthritis Foundation. (45 minutes)

Hydro Kickboxing

This moderate-high intensity water class combines basic kickboxing moves with strength and cardio exercises to build and maintain strength and burn calories. Pool "toys" will be used during this class. Amy Hurst (45 minutes)

Looking for a heart pumping, calorie burning, joint friendly aerobics class? Look no further! This DEEP water moderate-high intensity class utilizes the strength and cardio benefits of the 5ft deep pool area. Flotation belts and other pool "toys" will be used during this class. Water Fit

Take the plunge!! Shallow-water aerobics is one of the newest ways to exercise. You will get a total fitness workout, individually tailored. And you won't even get your hair wet! Hand bouys and noodles will be used in fun activities to enhance your workout. Winnie Gerlach (60 minutes)

NEW! Hip Hop Reality All Wet (Ages 13-19)

Parent/Tot Class (6-18 months) & Parent/Tot (18-36 months) Swim Lessons

This class is a way for your child to explore the water in a safe environment with a parent. Parents will learn how to safely interact with their children in the water, children will learn water can be fun. This class will deal with all levels of skill for this age range. Some children will be more comfortable in the water than others and everyone will go at their own speed. We will learn different holding techniques, arm and leg motions, bubble blowing and submerging when the child is ready. They will even have the opportunity to learn how to enter and exit the water safe way.

Moderate Motion
